Restroom Hand Dryers
To minimize the transfer of COVID-19 contaminants, Facilities Management is disabling hand dryers in restrooms throughout campus and installing paper towel dispensers. Submit a service request here to report a paper towel shortage or other service required.
Drinking Fountains
Due to the potential transfer of COVID-19, water drinking fountains should ONLY be used to refill a personal water bottle and not used to drink directly from without a vessel.

Struggling with Ergonomic Issues while working from home?
Below are some simple changes you can make to help transform your home working area into a comfortable environment.
Keyboard and Mouse
- It is important to use an external keyboard and mouse even when you are using a laptop.
- If you are telecommuting full time you may take your keyboard and mouse from your office (please coordinate with your manager). These items will need to be returned when you return to work on campus.
- If you are telecommuting part time and working on campus some of the time, please work with your manager and IT liaison to order a new keyboard and mouse for use while you telework.
- Make sure your arms are close to your body with elbows near your sides.
Monitor
- Make sure your monitor is at or slightly below eye level. Place your laptop on a stack of books if needed.
- Position it close enough so that you can comfortably read the screen without leaning forward. Start at arm’s distance and adjust as needed.
Chair
- Choose a chair with back support and sit so your back is fully supported.
- Don’t sit on a stool, couch or exercise ball.
Posture and Breaks
- Try to be mindful about maintaining a neutral posture.
- Every hour, take a quick break to adjust body positioning, move and stretch.
