Faculty and staff are invited to the First-Generation College Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 30. Join the campus community in honoring first-generation students and colleagues. Enjoy music, free food, a resource fair and raffles.
The First-Generation College Celebration commemorates the 1965 Higher Education Act, which expanded college access through federal financial aid and support for institutions. Programs like Federal TRIO, created under the Act, continue to promote access, retention, and success for limited-income, first-generation college students.
All faculty, staff and students — including first-gen individuals and allies — are welcome.
