Dr. Veena Howard, professor, Department of Philosophy, endowed chair in Jain and Hindu Dharma, and director, M.K. Gandhi Center: Inner Peace and Sarvodaya, recently received a $10,000 grant from the Uberoi Foundation for religious studies for her research related to the Dharma traditions and programming at Fresno State.

The Uberoi Foundation Trustees visited Fresno State in the fall of 2022 to attend the HighWay to Healing: Jain/ Hindu/Gandhi Symposium. The Uberoi Foundation generously supported the event, along with other scholarly activities of Dr. Howard. The Uberoi Foundation for Religious Studies serves to raise awareness of Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism and their respective music and arts through scholarly study.

Estevan Parra has been presented an Honorary Membership in Phi Kappa Phi for "outstanding support of students, faculty, and staff at Fresno State."
