Dear Fresno State Community,

I wanted to provide you with some important organizational and leadership updates.

Marketing and Communications
This spring, we began evaluating the reporting structure of University Communications and Brand Strategy and Marketing in an effort to create intentional storytelling that highlights the breadth of strength Fresno State represents. In accordance with national and system-wide trends, I have decided to combine the offices into one department of University Marketing and Communications within the Office of the President.

Cross Cultural and Gender Center
With the appointment of our inaugural University Diversity Officer, Dr. Rashanda Booker, and the creation of the Division of Equity and Engagement, I am pleased to announce that the Cross Cultural and Gender Center will move under the new division and leadership of Dr. Booker. I am very thankful to both Dr. Kent Willis and Dr. Booker for their ongoing and cross-divisional collaboration.

Both of these departmental changes will become effective on July 1, 2023.
