This is the time when we see all the fruits of our labor mature — families rejoicing because their Bulldog is graduating from Fresno State. Thank you for making this life-affirming moment come alive!

Every day, I am inspired by your dedication to our students and to our Valley. Thank you.

I want to give a shout-out to Dr. Kent Willis and Mr. Phong Yang; they are leading Fresno State with a guaranteed admissions program in partnership with local school districts. Under Dr. Willis’ direction, I know that our talented students and their families will have an early opportunity to engage with Fresno State in a meaningful and direct way.

The guaranteed admissions program, called Bulldog Bound, will prepare students to meet all the criteria required to enroll at Fresno State, and it will make higher education more accessible to students and their families. Starting in the ninth grade, we will focus on forging a college-going culture for our future Bulldogs.

As the leaders in higher education, we are excited for the future of Fresno State — one inherently connected with the future of our Valley.
