Effective July 1, Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) office moved under the oversight of Health, Counseling and Wellness within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.
SSD will still be physically located in Suite 1202 of the Fresno State Library.
This transition reflects our ongoing commitment to providing holistic, integrated support for student wellness — physical, mental and educational. By aligning SSD with the Student Health and Counseling Center (SHCC), we aim to strengthen collaboration among professionals serving students with diverse needs, streamline access to services and enhance the overall student experience.
SSD’s core mission remains unchanged: to ensure access and equal opportunity for all students with disabilities through accommodations, advocacy and support. This new structure will better position our teams to meet students’ needs comprehensively and responsively.
I want to extend my gratitude to the staff and leadership of both SSD and SHCC for their collaboration and professionalism throughout this process. Their continued dedication to student success is deeply appreciated, and I am confident that this change will foster even stronger support for our students.
As we move forward, we will continue to communicate updates and offer opportunities for feedback and engagement to ensure a smooth transition.
Thank you for your shared commitment to student well-being and success.
