Estevan Parra, coordinator of Gender Programs and Services, has been named the director of Fresno State’s Upward Bound Programs. For the past three years, he was coordinator of LGBTQ and Gender Programs and Services, as well as the Men’s Success Initiative, with the Cross Cultural and Gender Center. Parra also serves as president of the Latina/o Faculty and Staff Association, and advisor for Fresno State's Women's Alliance. He is a first year doctoral student with the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership at Fresno State.
Lauren Nickerson, associate vice president for University Communications, was one of three presenters on, "Four Steps to Pursuing an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) and 7 Reasons Why You Should", for the Central California Chapter of Public Relations Society of America. The virtual program explained the benefits of earning an APR and the key steps for the accreditation.
