The CSU Student Success Network and CSU Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Student Achievement Program have partnered to launch the first Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Middle Leadership Academy to be held in June.
Grounded in a problem-based learning model, the leadership academy will empower participants to “lead from the middle” as they explore and apply strategies to develop and implement on their campuses, with a focus on closing opportunity and outcomes gaps for AANHPI students.
Dr. Arnab Mukherjea, professor of public health at Cal State East Bay, was appointed the program’s inaugural director. He will lead teams of CSU students, researchers, faculty and student affairs staff, in a collaborative and supportive environment to work on support services for AANHPI students.
All 23 CSU campuses are invited to participate in the 2025 Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Middle Leadership Academy, each sending a team to one of two scheduled sessions from June 3 to 6 or June 17 to 20.
Further details will be announced soon. For more information visit the AMLA website.
