The California Water Institute has launched a new radio series exploring some of the state’s most pressing water issues. Weekly Water Insights airs weekly mornings on KMJ’s Ag Report. Listeners can tune in on KMJ News Talk 580 & 105.9 KMJ to hear about key topics shaping the future of our water resources.
Laura Ramos, interim director for the California Water Institute’s Research and Education Division is leading the production of the series, which will touch on themes like groundwater recharge, drought resilience, habitat restoration, and community-led water solutions. Each segment will take a deeper dive into key topics, innovative ideas, policies, and partnerships transforming how we approach water.
From the Delta’s marshlands to the arid farmland of the Central Valley, managing our precious water resource has never been more critical or complex in the face of ongoing droughts, climate change, and competing demands. It means understanding water is everyone’s responsibility.
Listen weekly to KMJ’s Ag Report as the California Water Institute unpacks the science, history, and policies shaping our watersheds. Weekly Water Insights aims to uncover how collaboration, innovation, and a deep respect for nature can lead us to a more sustainable future.
The California Water Institute is proud to partner with KMJ News Talk 580 & 105.9 KMJ, a station celebrating 100 years of rich history of news broadcast in the Central Valley. Past segments can be found at californiawater.org/education/.
