Works Above and Beyond
Jesse Farias, Admissions and Recruitment
Thank you Jesse for all the time that you put into our new video notice of admissions. You are appreciated!
Racheal Freeman, Facilities Management
Racheal went above and beyond to get a key situation fixed. She stayed on top of the approvals that were needed and helped push it along so we could resolve the issue. I really appreciate her!
Maribel Olea, Admissions and Recruitment
Thank you Maribel for your innovative thought behind our admissions workflow and the appeals process. Your effort and time put into this project will save much time in the future! On to the next automated process.
Julie Watson, College of Social Sciences
Julie is always professional in handling the budget-related tasks. Above that, her attitude toward staff and faculty is that “I am happy to help.” She thinks ahead and keeps reminding people about deadlines. Thank you, Julie, for going the extra mile to move things forward effectively.
University Communications
The entire University Communications team was so helpful with the announcement of Victor E. Bulldog's retirement. Their expert advice and media prowess helped us navigate a big moment. We're so grateful to them for their help!
Provides Excellent Customer Service
Monica Solis, Student Success Services
Monica assisted with the manual import of all student contacts dating back to fall 2021. This allows our program to have a more accurate capture of our student visits and service usage. Monica was very helpful and knowledgeable in providing information. Thank you, Monica!
Fatih Yenen, Technology Services
Despite an ongoing and heavy workload for the university's website upgrades, Fatih made time to help complete a complex work order for website coding help that had multiple steps, dating back more than a year. A ticket that had been started in late 2020, partially finished by two other employees, was "good enough" to work. But Fatih did not stop at good enough; he made sure to stick with the ticket and make a solution that will ensure future sustainability for the webpage. Can't thank him enough!
Saved My Bacon!
Whitney Cambric, Library Administrative Offices
Not once but twice last week I needed help with two situations on my to-do list that required a lot of coordination between multiple offices and individuals, only to reach out to Whitney and discover she had already made the arrangements and taken care of the logistics. One of these situations was time-sensitive and impacted several other employees as well, and Whitney was so patient and efficient the situation was resolved without a hitch. During this hectic time of the semester, I appreciated her help so much!
Modeled Principles of Community
Jonathan Castro, Technology Services
I had a time sensitive request that I was asked to help with, and Jonathan was willing to make himself available to collaborate on this project and was able to create something that will be useful for the entire campus community. He definitely modeled our principle of being collaborative! Thank you for your help, Jonathan!
