Academic Degrees: Bachelor of Arts, communication; Master of Arts, higher education administration, both from Fresno State
How long you have worked at Fresno State? This fall will mark 24 years of professional service. I spent almost 14 years at the Student Recreation Center before returning to Student Involvement.
What is your most notable accomplishment in your field, and why was it important? I think contributing to last year's in-person commencement ceremonies during very challenging times tops the list right now!
What are you most passionate about in your field and why? I am very passionate about helping students succeed. I think that's why commencement is my favorite event because it marks that success and fuels my passion for students.
What is a memorable moment you had at your job? Fall 2020 we did several drive-thru welcome events here in Fresno as well as Visalia and Merced. It was meaningful to see how much it meant to our students and their families that our staff was out doing our very best to make them feel a part of our campus.
What do you like to do for fun in your spare time? I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially my wonderful daughters, Aamiah and Aiyana. Aamiah is a senior here at Fresno State and I've enjoyed sharing campus with her. Aiyana is a sophomore at Central East High School where she's an honor student and soccer athlete.
