How long have you worked at Fresno State? Six years with Wayfinders. This is also my first year serving as a member of the Staff Assembly Executive Committee.
What is your most notable accomplishment (in your department), and why was it important? I find pleasure in creating procedures that promote efficiency and have had many opportunities to do that since working in the Wayfinders program. Building our online application form and bringing our entire admissions process digital is one thing I've accomplished that has saved our Admissions Committee a lot of time so that we can focus on what's most important.
What is the most interesting or unusual job you've ever had? I worked as a home organization consultant by helping people declutter and maximize the functionality of their living spaces.
What do you like to do for fun in your spare time? Most weekends over the summer, you'll find me out on the water with my husband, 4-year-old daughter and our ski boat or personal watercraft. Cruising is my favorite way to vacation and travel. I also enjoy audiobooks, line dancing and cheering on our 'Dogs.
What is something interesting about you that most people don’t know? My one beautiful daughter is the result of a long, difficult journey my husband and I took trying to conceive. That experience inspired me to help another family facing similar fertility challenges by serving as their gestational surrogate. It is very rewarding to help another person fulfil their dream of parenthood.
Is there something else you would like to share that was not asked? I am proud to work at Fresno State and am very blessed to work among a team of creative and passionate professionals here at Wayfinders who provide quality support to our students.
