Works Above and Beyond
Shawna Blair, Student Involvement
The energy and heart that Shawna puts into creating a memorable Welcome Week doesn't go unnoticed. She plans out every detail to truly set the tone to a great start to a semester or even a great start to student's college journey at Fresno State.
Andrew Lohuis, Technology Services
The monitor and electrical outlets at one of our pod workstations were not working, and I sent Andrew an email around 7:30 a.m., knowing that we had a training at 8 and expecting that I would need a workaround to get us through the next week of training. But Andrew and his colleague arrived within 20 minutes and immediately discovered and fixed a problem that none of us would have figured out. Thanks, Andrew.
Marie Tongson-Fernandez, Office of Institutional Effectiveness
We are recognizing Marie for her unwavering support and dedication to the Ed.D. Program. Marie consistently goes out of her way to ensure our processes run smoothly, especially with managing the Qualtrics forms that are critical for program operations. She is always willing to lend a helping hand, respond quickly to requests, and provide thoughtful guidance to both students and colleagues. Her reliability, collaborative spirit, and commitment to excellence make a significant difference in the success of the program. Marie’s willingness to step in whenever needed exemplifies going above and beyond. Her contributions not only make our work easier but also strengthen the overall experience for the Ed.D. community.
Provides Excellent Customer Service
Meredith Booey-Sandrik, Facilities Management
Meredith was super helpful with all the extra requests during the summer. I appreciate the kindness that she exudes while doing a great job.
Isaac Caro, Scheduling Office
Isaac was a huge help this summer. He helped me find classrooms and make last-minute changes to over 50 rooms needed for FUSD summer camps. I appreciate all the effort and time he put in.
Brian Mills, Learning Center
Since the construction of our pod workstations more than a year ago, Brian has played a key role in the setup and maintenance of the equipment. With his trademark Giants cap, he has assisted in multiple trips to our space to fix technology issues. And with his friendly demeanor, he always makes us feel just a little less freaked-out about the technology we cannot troubleshoot on our own. Thank you, Brian.
Kimberly Secrist, Administration and Finance
Over the past week, Kimberly has fielded several inquiries from me while I having been assisting our alumni board volunteers. She has been responsive, friendly and has gone above and beyond in assisting me. I am grateful for her collaborative spirit and truly enjoy working with her.
Saved My Bacon
Richard Jones, Facilities Management
Richard was able to use creativity to make a key for our cabinet. We appreciate his resourcefulness and determination. Thank you, Richard.
