| The American Library Association’s annual Banned Books Week begins Oct. 6. The Library has partnered with the Cross Cultural and Gender Center African American and LGBTQ2+ Programs and Services, the Africana Studies Program, the College of Social Sciences, CineCulture, and the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature to host a variety of events and programs that center the power of reading, libraries and education to liberate words and minds.
