Virtual Learning for Managers & Chairs
Performance Evaluation Training for Managers/Chairs

In preparation for the annual staff performance evaluation process, Human Resources offers training for managers and department chairs to prepare for this year's review. Training includes the university's contractual obligations, an overview of the performance management philosophy, and in-depth review of the performance appraisal forms. New managers, chairs or supervisors who have not completed an appraisal in the past or any manager, chair or supervisor who would like information on the evaluation process should attend. The evaluation process for all staff bargaining units will be covered, including the performance appraisal for the Academic Professionals of California (Unit 4). Workshop will also cover an introduction to a new automated workflow.
Building Resilience at Work: Increasing Energy, Health and Performance in Challenging Times

As we traverse the global pandemic, resiliency is a vital competency. Resilience is the ability to come back after hardships, disappointments or setbacks, to be adaptable and flexible, and to incorporate life experiences into new ways of thinking, feeling and acting. Constant and relentless pressures can wear us down, burn us out, and hurt us physically, emotionally and mentally. But once we learn how to use resilience, our resilient natures can lift and bolster us during times of difficulty and bring us health and vitality throughout our lives. In this session we will:

Online Group Advising: Emphasizing Effectiveness and Efficiency
