University Advancement is accepting nominations for 2021-22 honorary doctoral degrees given by the California State University Board of Trustees.
Candidates must demonstrate high moral character, be distinguished in their respective fields, and be someone who is widely recognized. Nominees must also have demonstrated intellectual and humane values that are consistent with the ideals of the CSU, the aims of higher education and the highest ideals of the person’s chosen fields.
This past May, Fresno State awarded four honorary doctorates. Renowned basket weaver Julia F. Parker received an honorary degree of Doctor of Fine Arts. Lynda and Stewart Resnick, entrepreneurs and philanthropists, received a Doctor of Human Letters and Doctor of Science, respectively. Valley Children's Healthcare President and Chief Executive Officer Todd Suntrapak received a Doctor of Laws.

Doctor of Laws (LL.D.)
Doctor of Letters (Litt.D.)
Doctor of Science (Sc.D.)
