Nominations for the John D. Welty Award for Excellence in Community Service are now being accepted. This award is given to a student who exemplifies the commitment to service that John Welty championed during his 22 years as President of California State University, Fresno. If eligible, based on financial need, the award will provide a single $2,500 scholarship to the winning student.

Nominations may come from any person, including self-nominations. Nominations must clearly and concisely address the nominations criteria and questions. Only one nomination per student will be accepted. A selection committee will review nominations and determine the award winner.

The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, November 23.
