After conducting a national search, I am pleased to announce Dr. Amye Leon as the new Assistant Vice President for Academic Advising. Dr. Leon joined our team on September 17, 2018 and brings more than 14 years of higher-education experience in student success and advising.

For the past five years, Dr. Leon has served as the Director of the Academic Success Center at California State University, Stanislaus where she also served as the Interim Associate Vice President for Student Services.

We are excited to have Dr. Leon joining us in Student Success Services in a role that requires much collaboration across the Divisions of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs. She is a two-time alumnus of Fresno State and is passionate about student success.

As the new Assistant Vice President for Academic Advising, Dr. Leon will lead the Academic Advising Council and will work to increase advising alignment across campus. We are so pleased to attract such an outstanding professional to Fresno State. We look forward to having her on our team as she brings a wealth of experience and great educational background to lead our future student success efforts.
