In the latest episode of the Bulldog State of Mind podcast, host Belinda Muñoz sits down with Fresno State Director of Athletics and President’s Cabinet member Garrett Klassy for a conversation that goes beyond programs, facilities, conference changes, and wins and losses.

Klassy reflects on growing up as the youngest of four children on a Wisconsin dairy farm, the lessons he learned working alongside his parents and siblings, and how those experiences continue to shape his leadership today. He also discusses fatherhood, marriage, the importance of family, and creating new traditions in the Central Valley.

The conversation explores Klassy’s commitment to supporting student-athletes and employees, strengthening connections across campus, and creating an environment where people feel comfortable asking for help. He also speaks candidly about stress, grief, work-life balance, and the challenge of caring for his own well-being while leading others.
