In honor of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, the Student Health and Counseling Center teamed up with the Food Security Project and Project Hope to host a jacket drive called “Jackets from James.”
Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 13, donations will be collected for new or gently used jackets, sweatshirts and hoodies. This jacket drive is in honor of a Central Valley native, James Rodriguez, whose last purchase on the day he passed away was a jacket to give to a student in need. All donations collected by the end of the week will be given to the Poverello House to keep the community warm during winter.
Donations can be dropped off at:
- Student Health and Counseling Center
- Student Cupboard (IT 144)
