Each year, the Henry Madden Library honors Outstanding Faculty Publications, the contributions to research, scholarship, and creative work made by the Fresno State faculty. As we have for the past few years, we recognize this year’s publications through an online exhibit with information on the selected publications and links to full text where available.
Outstanding Faculty Publications are selected by each department to showcase work by their faculty deserving of special recognition. More items were submitted this year than ever before, and they also represent a wider variety in types of work, including photography, dance performance, poetry, novels, and memoirs along with the scholarly articles, books, chapters, conference papers, and technical reports. As in past years, the collaborative nature of Fresno State researchers is displayed, with many faculty co-authoring publications with colleagues within their department, across departments, and at other institutions, as well with Fresno State students and recent graduates.
The full list of honorees and their publications can be downloaded in PDF here.
As a new feature this year, members of the Fresno State United Nations Global Compact Steering Committee have identified items that relate to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Publications can be browsed and searched by the individual goals, as well as by author and department.
Interim Provost Xuanning Fu adds, “Research, teaching and solving real-world problems complement one another. This work demonstrates how faculty contribute their expertise to their field and to our community, and manifests our faculty’s resolve to find solutions to complex issues, while dedicating themselves to teaching our students during an unprecedented challenging time.”
