The Library is excited to announce a new partnership with The Wall Street Journal through its Higher Education Program — providing free, unlimited digital access to all current students, faculty and staff.
This two-year program allows users to read Wall Street Journal content on any device, including through its mobile app, simply by signing in with their Fresno State credentials. First-time users will complete a quick, one-time setup to personalize their access.
What’s Included?
- Unlimited Access beyond the database: Full access to WSJ.com on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices — including personalized features like MyWSJ, podcasts, videos and more.
- Curated Newsletters: Customize your news experience with daily and weekly email updates focused on your interests.
- Student-Focused Tools: Explore discipline-specific content aligned with your coursework in fields like business, nursing, criminal justice, computer science, marketing and more.
- Faculty Resources: Instructors can enhance lesson plans with WSJ Context LMS, critical thinking case studies, customizable quizzes and curated weekly reviews.
- Career and Academic Support: From research skills to networking and job market insights, the Wall Street Journal offers resources designed to help students thrive in and beyond the classroom.
Thanks to the efforts of electronic resources librarian Dolly Lopez and the support of Jay Fowler (Technology Services), Renaldo Gjoshe (digital services), Hiromi Kubo (research services librarian), and Marianne Foley (acquisitions librarian), our students have greater opportunities to develop skills in critical thinking, news literacy and professional readiness.
How to Get Started
Visit our WSJ Research Guide link and log in using your Fresno State credentials to activate your access. You will have a full account and subscription to WSJ under your Fresno State email.
Note: This is a two-year program. If 20% of Fresno State students sign up, access may be extended beyond the initial period — so we encourage everyone to register and spread the word. (A typical subscription to the Wall Street Journal is annually $400 p/year.)
