Dr. Rolston St. Hilaire, dean of the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, was a keynote speaker at the Global AgTech and Manufacturing AI Summit on May 21, at the University Business Center in the Peters Business Building.
St. Hilaire’s presentation is titled "AI‑Driven Precision Agriculture for Sustainable Crop and Resource Management."
Karen Ross, secretary, California Department of Food and Agriculture, also served as a keynote speaker, and presented on the topic, "The Future of AI Innovation in Agriculture & Global Commerce." Eric Hadden, executive director of the Water, Energy and Technology Center, also served as a panel speaker.
This program was jointly organized by the U.S. Commercial Service and ONOR Foundation.
For the second time in as many years, Fresno State’s Women’s Entrepreneurial Center was named the Small Business Administration's "Women’s Business Center of the Year" by the Fresno district office. The Women’s Entrepreneurial Center is housed in the Office of Community and Economic Development, which is part of the division of Continuing and Global Education.
The Office of Community and Economic Development employs approximately seven Fresno State students across a wide-array of majors and integrates Fresno State faculty into its grant-funded and fee-for-service programming. Since its inception four years ago, the Women’s Entrepreneurial Center is responsible for creating 246 businesses and 2,467 jobs.
