Works Above and Beyond
Catalina Carrillo, Advancement Services
Catalina was a key player in our annual Heritage Society luncheon. Her logistical and event support was essential to the event's success. She stepped in greatly this year and I am grateful.
Dillon Griffith, Facilities Management
Dillon was quick to respond to any issues in regard to the University House for our annual Heritage Society Luncheon. He even came to the venue to double-check everything himself before the event. I am grateful for all he does for others on campus.
Benjamin Kirk, College of Arts and Humanities
Ben, communications specialist for the College of Arts and Humanities, picked up a story for a college that doesn't currently have a communications specialist, the College of Social Sciences. He wrote a press release honoring a student who won the first-ever statewide Cal State CREATE competition. We appreciate Ben's quick ability to help get the word out. Thank you.
Lauro Platas, Facilities Management
Lauro keeps our bathrooms clean and sanitized. He goes the extra mile to clean the high traffic area like the doors. He is always pleasant and greets everyone that passes him in the hallway. Thank you for keeping us all safe.
Deborah Reba, Technology Services
Deborah serves and plays a vital role in the Staff Assembly Executive Committee (SAEC). She works hard behind the scenes to ensure SAEC meets the mission to promote strong professional and personal ties between and among staff members by creating fun events and valuable community and campus service projects.
Lian Vang, Admissions and Recruitment
Thank you to Lian for celebrating our student assistants with office decorations, creating a succulent planting station and providing snacks and candy for students.
University Advising Center
Kathy Dunbar and the University Advising Center team put on a fantastic Advisor Awards event this year. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners, and a big thank you to UAC for coordinating such a special gathering.
Provides Excellent Customer Service
Diahann Gutierrez, Center for Faculty Excellence
Diahann is very cordial, friendly and always greets you with a smile. She was very helpful in assisting with reserving multiple rooms and last-minute changes for meetings and interviews. Thank you, Diahann, for your assistance and support.
Robert Rodriguez, Human Resources
Robert has been so patient and helpful with a variety of inquiries I've had recently. He's levelheaded, kind and provides outstanding service to the campus community. Thank you, Robert, for all your effort in making this a better place to work for staff and MPP alike.
Saved My Bacon
Alejandra Vazquez, University Development
Alejandra stepped up to lead the Heritage Society luncheon in so many amazing ways. She jumped in with both feet to make sure every detail was attended to. We could not have done it without her event expertise and special attention to our donors.
Teira Wilson, Technology Services
Teira is always very nice and quick to respond. She helped us with making documents accessible many times on short notice. I appreciate her willingness to help and professionalism very much.
Modeled Principles of Community
Sierra Lewis, Financial Aid and Scholarships
Sierra has been so gracious and helpful as we work to expand her area's existing Chatbot capabilities. Thank you, Sierra, for volunteering to help, giving of your time and effort and being so easy to work with.
