Retiring faculty at the Kremen School of Education and Human Development are leaving a legacy of excellence. Their significant contributions have made an impact on the Kremen School and the University.
Dr. Roy M. Bohlin, professor and chair of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, has 29 years of service. He was honored with a Provost Award for Teaching with Educational Technology in 2001-2002.
Dr. Colleen Torgerson, professor of special education, has 20 years of service. As the partnership coordinator for the Kremen School, she completed work on a national model of teacher preparation that was recognized by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities for the Christa McAuliffe Award in 2014 and awarded three state grants in 2019.
Dr. Albert Valencia, professor in the Department of Counselor Education and Rehabilitation, has 23 years of service. He has presented at 37 international, national and statewide conferences and served on numerous University, school and department committees.
