Caregiver Resources and Community Support Programs

Come learn of the four community services that are housed under the umbrella of Valley Caregiver Resource Center.
- Caregiver Resource Center Program: Provides free support services to unpaid caregivers so that they will be able to better assist their spouse, parent, or loved one.
- Fresno-Madera Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP): Provide frees, confidential, and unbiased one-on-one counseling services for Medicare beneficiaries of all ages.
- Fresno-Madera Long-Term-Care Ombudsman Program: Advocates and provides free and confidential services for residents in Assisted Living facilities and Skilled Nursing facilities.
- OASIS Adult Day Program: Provides personal and supervised care for seniors with Alzheimer’s and other related dementias.

The Fresno State active shooter program encompasses the Run Hide Fight protocols that are promoted by the FBI. Seconds 2 Survive is designed to help individuals plan, prepare, practice, and perform so that they are empowered to make life saving decisions in the critical first seconds of an emergency.
