The Student Health and Counseling Center has achieved re-accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). This marks 31 years of continuous accreditation for the organization.

“We are proud to achieve this accreditation,” said Dr. Janell Morillo, associate vice president for Student Health, Counseling and Wellness. “It is a testament to the excellent medical, counseling and wellness services provided to our students at Fresno State.”

The AAAHC accreditation means the organization participates in ongoing self-evaluation, peer review and education to continuously improve its care and services. Organizations accredited by AAAHC meet or exceed 814 nationally recognized standards and substandards.

Chair of the AAAHC visiting survey committee, Dr. Hugh Norsted referenced Fresno State’s Student Health and Counseling Center as a “model program.”
