Nominations for the 2024-25 Outstanding Advisor Awards are being accepted until 5 p.m. Sunday, March 30. The recipients will be announced at our annual awards reception at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 1.
The Outstanding Advisor Award is awarded annually to academic counselors/advisors who have demonstrated qualities associated with outstanding academic advising of students. Award recipients will be selected by the provost and the interim vice president for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and will receive a $500 stipend for professional development.
Eligibility
Any full-time employee at Fresno State who serves as a staff advisor/counselor or faculty advisor by providing direct advising to students as part of their job duties, is eligible for consideration.
Nomination Process
Faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and current students may nominate individuals for this award. A minimum of three nomination forms must be submitted to be eligible for consideration. There must be at least one nomination from a student. No self-nominations will be recognized.
