Dr. Ndidi Griffin-Myers, chair of the School of Nursing, was a guest speaker at the Women's History Month forum, hosted by SCORE Mentors Central Valley. During her presentation, she talked about her 30-year career in nursing and teaching at the collegiate level.
Tim Hamel (Kinesiology) has been elected as the new president of the California Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, which promotes healthy lifestyles through quality education for all populations and leadership to school, community and statewide programs. Hamel officially begins his three-year term in June 2017. He recently served as vice president of physical education for the organization, advocating on behalf of the Every Student Succeeds Act.
