Works Above and Beyond
Jay Fowler, Technology Services
There is a lot that goes on behind the curtain at these places and the same can be said of System Administrators in the IT world. They work quietly behind the scenes keeping all the back-end technology used by internal and external staff, or students, as is the case on a college campus, running smoothly at the front end. Jay is the definition of this type of worker. One only needs to ask a high-level question and Jay will quickly answer in depth and often is the case, take care of the issue within minutes even if you were just looking for a general direction or possible solution to an issue. He clearly understands the term “see a need, fill it,” and takes customer service to another level transparently working above and beyond quietly keeping the campus systems under his charge working. We don’t know what goes on behind the scenes in McKee Fisk, but know anything we ask Jay about will be taken care of quickly, quietly unseen and without disruption to our work.
Saved my Bacon
Accounting Services
Cynthia and her Accounting team are the best. Whether it is assisting with a mistake made or finding where a payment is, they always help when asked. They are definitely among the hardest working with the least recognition. Thank you, Cynthia and team!
Provides Excellent Customer Service
Kelly Sabroe, Payroll
Any encounter with Kelly is one that is pleasant and supportive. She exemplifies an employee that is helpful, cheerful and kind. In addition, she approaches any encounter with a focus on finding a positive outcome and/or solution. You are appreciated, Kelly!
Kelley Kitzmiller, Foundation Financial Services
Shout out to Kelley at the Foundation for going above and beyond to support our department's recent international conference. She helped a faculty with a complex payment scenario, she helped a grad student volunteer with a last-minute transaction, and she helped a community donor make sure their gift went to the right place. Team Kelley 4-ever.
Modeled Principles of Community
Juan Herrera, Division of Equity and Engagement
Juan has been a great supporter of me and Fresno State's mission. His door is always open, and he is incredibly helpful, despite us not working in the same department. He truly embodies collaboration, kindness, and a willingness to serve those around him. Juan is eager to share new ideas and support others' ideas. I am so grateful to have him as a resource and support.
