Dear Campus Community,
Please join me in congratulating the following three professors who will assume roles as interim associate deans for the upcoming academic year.

Dr. Sergio La Porta will become interim associate dean of the College of Arts and Humanities, effective Aug. 5. He is the Haig and Isabel Berberian Professor of Armenian Studies and is currently serving as chair of the Department of Philosophy.

Dr. Julie Olson-Buchanan will become interim associate dean of the Craig School of Business, effective at the start of the fall semester. She served as chair of the Department of Management for 10 years and has served this past academic year as interim associate dean of the Kremen School of Education and Human Development.

Dr. Kathleen Godfrey will become interim associate dean of the Kremen School of Education and Human Development, effective at the start of the fall semester. She is currently serving as chair of the Department of English and is the former director of the San Joaquin Valley Writing Project housed in the Kremen School. She is also a former high school English teacher and has extensive experience in pre-service teacher education.

I appreciate their willingness to assume these important roles.
