Two departments in the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management were recipients of the 2016-17 NASPA Excellence Awards. NASPA, Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, is the leading association for the advancement, health and sustainability of the student affairs profession.

The Fresno State Career Development Center was recognized nationally as the bronze award winner for the program, “Pathways to Success…Creation of an On Campus Clothing Closet.” The Fresno State Clothing Closet offers professional clothing to students and provides access to free and professional business casual attire appropriate for career fairs, interviews and the workplace.

Associated Students Inc.’s Central Valley Student Leadership Summit (CVSLS) received the bronze level NASPA Excellence Award for its program "Local students advocating local solutions: Unifying all levels of higher education systems for a common cause."
