Works Above and Beyond
Antoinette Castanon, Procurement and Support Services
I recently had to complete a purchase on behalf of my department, and it felt like we came across every obstacle in the book. When I reached out to procurement for help, Antoinette was quick to come to our aid. She spent a number of Zoom sessions and emails between our team and the supplier to get it resolved. She is wonderful to work with, and I am so grateful that procurement has someone as amazing as her! Thank you, Antoinette, you're the best!
Erica Hunter, School of Nursing
During the holidays when campus was closed, the power was turned off. Nursing faculty received text alerts the vaccines were getting too warm in the refrigerator. Unfortunately, all of us were out of town and could not get to campus to secure the vaccines. I reached out to our administrative support coordinator, Erica, who immediately volunteered to drive from all the way from her home in Kingsburg, during her off time and saved the vaccine from being ruined. Thank you, Erica!
Provide Excellent Customer Service
Fatih Yenen, Technology Services
Fatih and Ryan provided excellent customer service while supporting us in refreshing our website! Thank you to both of you for your expertise, patience and amazing work!
Saved my Bacon!
Cynthia Ramirez, TRIO Student Support Services - Disabilities
Cynthia is our program assistant and recently saved my bacon! She works above and beyond each and every day exemplifying the meaning of teamwork. Thank you for all that you do and for helping me out to ensure a very busy day ran smoothly.
Sonia Romero, College of Science and Mathematics-Advising and Resource Center
Thank you Sonia for responding so quickly when a new student needed advising! I know walk-in hours can be busy right before a semester begins, so it really helped me out that they could speak to someone since they missed their orientation. I appreciate all the work you do to ensure student success!
Modeled Principles of Community
Ruby Sangha-Rico, Learning Center
Ruby, you are one of the kindest individuals on campus. I always enjoy being in your presence at events and appreciate the encouragement you give to colleagues about being a scholar practitioner and parent.
