Fresno State employees and students can receive tax help from the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) through the Department of Accountancy in the Craig School of Business. Partnering with United Way, students who are IRS-certified volunteers help provide the FREE service for low-income taxpayers with an income below $55,000.
The program will be open weekends from Friday, Feb. 1 to Sunday, April 14.
Location: Leon S. Peters Building, Room PB-133
Times: 2 to 8 p.m. Fridays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
To make an appointment, call the United Way at 2-1-1. If that number is unsuccessful, call toll-free at 866.559.4211. Walk-ins are welcome but may have a short wait as appointments are taken first.
