The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) California Valley Chapter announced its new board members for 2019. AFP is an association of fundraising professionals focused on the education, ethics and personal development of its membership, sharing best practices and mentoring its members and youth.
Congratulations Cara Perrachi-Douglas, director of development for Craig School of Business, who will serve as vice president for membership and Amy Millis, director of development for the College of Health and Human Services, who will serve as president-elect.
Cassandra Joubert (Central California Children's Institute) is the new president-elect of the national School-Based Health Alliance Executive Committee, which works to improve the health of children and youth by advancing and advocating for school-based health care. Joubert is currently director of the CCCI and a tenured professor in the Department of Public Health.
Nicole Smith (Kinesiology) and Amber Hammons (Child and Family Science) co-authored, "International Studies of Physical Education Using SOFIT: A Review," which was published in Advances in Physical Education. This follows up on their earlier review of physical education studies conducted in the United States.
