Kellie Carrillo, who joined Fresno State in April 2024 as the university’s first Cal NAGPRA Repatriation Coordinator, is now director of tribal relations.

In her new role, Carrillo will continue to develop protocols that foster positive relationships between Fresno State and local Tribes, design and initiate multi-year strategic plans, and ensure that the repatriation work, and broader Tribal service initiatives, continue through respectful consultation.
