Faculty and staff are invited to an on-campus session with Dr. Mai Lee Chang, a researcher specializing in artificial intelligence, robotics and human-AI collaboration.
While on campus as a keynote speaker for the Journey to Success student event, Chang will share her research on designing effective partnerships between people and intelligent systems. Drawing from her work in robotics, conversational agents and embodied AI, she will discuss value alignment in human-robot teams, with a focus on designing task allocation algorithms that balances fairness and efficiency.
Chang recently completed a postdoctoral appointment at Carnegie Mellon University’s Human-Computer Interaction Institute, holds a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from UT Austin, and has prior engineering experience at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend.
