Dr. Mohan Dangi, professor, Geography and City and Regional Planning, received the Fulbright U.S. Scholar South and Central Asia (SCA) Regional Travel Program grant to present his scholarship by conducting Fulbright Biweekly Seminar Series, distinguished talks at multiple campuses of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in India. These seminars are expert talk about solid waste engineering and management.
Eduardo González was appointed executive director of the Office of Community and Economic Development at Fresno State. González has been with office for 11 years, most recently serving as interim executive director. Prior to joining OCED in 2011, González served more than 10 years in a variety of community-focused roles in the Valley.
In his new role as executive director, González will oversee and provide leadership support to 13 initiatives and centers that impact the San Joaquin Valley’s economic prosperity and quality of life: the California Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley, Fresno State Small Business University, Fresno State Rural Development Center, Community and Regional Planning Center, EDA University Center, Central Valley Women’s Entrepreneur Center, Veterans Entrepreneur Center, Smart Farm University, Central Valley AgPlus, Fresno State Connect, Fresno State Parent University, Fresno State REFRESH and the San Joaquin Valley Regional Broadband Consortia. Additionally, González will continue to serve as a co-lead for California Forward’s “Ensuring Broadband for All” work group.
