Major repair and maintenance work has been completed in the Family Food and Science Building. During the winter break, Fresno State Facilities staff completed the repair of the damaged sewer main line and building maintenance.

The work included the following:

• Replaced damaged sewer main line – 180 feet – including 36 connection points
• Replaced 20-foot section of sewer line damaged by tree roots outside
• Abatement of hallway asbestos floor tiles
• Installation of new tile and carpet at each entry and stair landing
• Replacement of burnt lamps, ballasts, clocks, circuit tracing, panel directories
• Updated door closures and lever hardware added on classrooms to meet ADA requirements
• Window blind repairs, window cranks, plumbing fixtures, door fitment issues
• Painted hallways and elevator doors
