Patty Terry has been named the interim manager at The Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market. She was the operations manager at the Kennel Bookstore since 2019, and originally joined the bookstore in 2006 as a floor supervisor. Barlow Der Mugrdechian, Armenian Studies Program director and professor, will serve as a liaison on behalf of the Society for Armenian Studies to strengthen ties with academic institutions in Armenia. The society signed an Agreement on Cooperation with The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Foundation. The agreement aims at cooperating on different academic projects that would be beneficial to both parties and advance the field of Armenian Genocide studies. Click here for more information.
USU Productions team, within Student Involvement, won two regional awards from the National Association of Campus Activities West. The team is very honored to have received the award for Outstanding New Virtual Program for its Floral Friday event, as well as the award for Outstanding Virtual Program Adaptation for its Halloween week. "Looking back to the beginning of fall 2020, the team used a lot of teamwork, creativity, and out of the box thinking to bring new and reimagined events to life. They are truly grateful to NACA West for selecting the team for these awards, as well as the campus for its continuous support and engagement with our programming," said Dr. Colin Steward, associate dean of Student Involvement.
