Kimberly Marshall, one of the leading concert organists of our time, performs at 3 p.m. on Jan. 7 in the Music Building Concert Hall.
She is widely known for her rare combination of musical creativity and historical awareness. Recipient of the D.Phil. from the University of Oxford, this American artist regularly presents a wide range of styles including early music as well as works by Messiaen and Ligeti. In Europe she has been invited to play concerts at Westminster Cathedral and St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, King's College in Cambridge, Notre-Dame in Paris, Cathédrale in Chartres, Uppsala Cathedral, and the Dormition Abbey in Jerusalem, among others.
