Keith Harris Woodwick, 89, died in Fresno on Nov. 1. At Fresno State from 1955 to 1994, he served as chair of the Biology Department and was a founding member of the Moss Landing Marine Laboratory. A specialist in marine invertebrate zoology, he received many research grants. In 1987, he was honored as Fresno State’s Outstanding Professor.

Dr. Woodwick earned his bachelor’s degree from Jamestown College, master’s from the University of Washington and Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.

His daughter is Dr. Colleen Torgerson, professor in the Department of Literacy, Early, Bilingual and Special Education.
