Works Above and Beyond
Marie Tongson-Fernandez, Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE)
Marie has provided Qualtrics survey support to our CPR and Watchdog program, as part of Wellness Services for our students, since 2021. She is always supportive, patient and helpful. Thank you, Marie, for your survey expertise!
Warehouse and Property Services
Over the course of six to seven weeks, Warehouse staff members Tiffany, Sean and Ryan have been so accommodating with the delivery of countless packages received during my limited office hours. They are always willing to lend an extra hand when one is in need. I also want to give a special shout-out to their new worker, Peyton. Over the last few weeks, Peyton has been very helpful with delivering heavy packages. Thank you, Peyton, for your hard work, and thank you to the entire Warehouse team for going above and beyond.
Provides Excellent Customer Service
Jaqueline Ceja, Office of Faculty Affairs
Jaqueline, thank you for all of your support in helping me process our new hires. With so many moving parts involved in hiring new instructors, the process can sometimes be confusing, but you've always been there to answer my questions, provide status updates, and guide me along the way. I truly appreciate how thorough you are and how you keep me in the loop throughout the process. Your dedication to ensuring our new hires are taken care of does not go unnoticed. Thank you for always being so supportive and helpful!
Ivy Fitzparick, Kremen School of Education and Human Development
Ivy was very professional and assisted my daughter in changing her major correctly. She went above and beyond. Thank you so much, Ivy.
Saved My Bacon!
Alex Jarrell, Payroll Services
Alex is an incredible resource and consistently goes above and beyond to help me. With so many student hires coming and going, there are plenty of opportunities for mistakes, and Alex is always there to patiently guide me through the process and help correct any issues. I truly appreciate her patience, kindness and dedication to providing support.
Modeled Principles of Community
Monica Olmedo, Learning Center
I would like to recognize Monica for modeling Fresno State’s Principles of Community through her kindness, support, collaboration and willingness to help others. Monica helped me today with a Zoom webinar, and I truly appreciated the time she took to assist me and make sure everything went smoothly. Monica is great to work with because she is always supportive, caring and approachable. She has a way of making others feel supported, especially when something feels new or stressful. Today was another example of how she shows up for others with patience, kindness and a positive attitude. Her help made a real difference and gave me the confidence I needed to move forward. I also appreciate that Monica is someone who is consistently willing to share her knowledge and support her colleagues. She does not just answer questions; she takes the time to explain things, offer guidance and make sure the person she is helping feels comfortable and prepared. That kind of support reflects the collaborative and welcoming spirit we value at Fresno State. I am grateful for Monica’s continued support and the care she shows to others. She is a wonderful example of someone who contributes to a respectful, inclusive and supportive campus community. Monica truly models the Principles of Community in the way she works with and supports those around her.
