Works Above and Beyond
Mike Bach, Innovation and Digital Excellence for Academic Success (IDEAS)
Mike has been my go-to person at the beginning of each semester when I need help cross-listing my courses. This semester, due to some scheduling issues, I got a last-minute notice that one of my classes was going to be taught at a different time. I needed help from Mike to cross-list my class right before the start of the new semester. He responded immediately and helped me get the courses combined very quickly. Now students can see the materials without any hassle. Thank you, Mike! You rock!
Tiffany Burmeister, University Warehouse
Thank you, Tiffany, for Going Above and Beyond!
Chris Cruz, Technology Services
Chris is amazing at his role. He is quick to solve issues and have back-up plans for possible scenarios. Most recently he made sure everything went smoothly ahead of time and during our event. Thank you, Chris, for all that you do.
Steve Nasse, Agricultural Business
Steve is willing to provide additional help to faculty and students to make sure their goals are accomplished. Because of his timely help, a student got paid on time each month; Steve provided me with additional information so I could identify an appropriate room suitable for my class size, and lastly, he helped me get my office key on time.
Jessica Piffero, University Communications
It was dorm move-in day, 3 p.m. and 103 degrees. I had to leave for a doctor appointment, and media showed up to film a segment. Jessica, with her extensive media experience from a previous job, jumped right in to back me up and support our housing marketing team and facilitate an interview with one of our RAs and a new transfer student for ABC30. Thank you, Jessica!
Provides Excellence Customer Service
Delia Medrano, Library - Administrative Offices
Delia was absolutely amazing with our room request. She was always kind and patient with my inquiries. She made sure everything was in order for our event. Josh was also fantastic and even came to check on our event to make sure everything was okay. I really appreciated that extra attention to care. Thank you both for making our event planning go smoothly!
Saved My Bacon
Amy Luna, Police Department
Last week Amy was a huge help at the California Environmental Health Association conference! Our organization had a speaker cancel last minute and Amy stepped up to cover for the emergency preparedness track. The day prior to Amy being a speaker, we had another speaker cancel and again Amy stepped up to cover! Amy provided an amazing two-hour presentation on active shooter and my organization is so grateful for her!
Rocio Quiñones Montaño, College of Social Sciences, Deans Office
Thank you, Rocio, for Saving My Bacon!
Daniel Nguyen, Technology Services
I want to thank Daniel for his prompt help lending me a computer adaptor on very short notice. Daniel quickly responded to my email and got the problem solved. Without his help, I wouldn’t have been able to connect my computer to the projector, and my first-class meeting would have been ruined. Over 60 students would have been impacted. Daniel is a lifesaver. Thank you, Daniel!
