Updated College Communications Support Structure
To better serve our colleges and audiences, University Marketing and Communications has reorganized the college-focused communications support structure. This change is driven by the need to balance workloads across our six centralized marketing and communications specialists, who support eight colleges, and by feedback from campus partners.
Under the new structure:
- Four marketing and communications specialists will each support two colleges, ensuring a more equitable workload and fostering collaboration.
- Two digital marketing specialists will join a centralized digital content hub within the department to manage social media, newsletters and other digital tactics.
If you are faculty or staff within a school or college, your college’s marketing and communications specialist will remain your primary point of contact for all communications-related needs and questions. They will help determine the best tactic for your request and coordinate with the central team when needed.
As part of this transition, some existing tactics may shift to the digital content hub or central creative team, while others may be streamlined to focus on high-impact, audience-driven priorities.
These updates are designed to create greater equity across colleges, standardize tactics, and deliver a more consistent external experience for alumni, donors, prospective students and community partners.
If you have questions about how this change may affect your area, contact Dr. Esra Hashem, director of Strategic Communications at esrahashem@mail.fresnostate.edu, or your assigned marketing and communications specialist.
