The Office of Institutional Effectiveness is pleased to announce a Call for Faculty Fellows for the upcoming academic year. This initiative provides faculty the opportunity to collaborate on high-impact, data-informed projects that support institutional improvement, student success and academic planning.
Faculty Fellows invites proposals to work with OIE staff on one of the following priority projects:
- Predictive Model (6-year graduation): Enhance the existing first year retention model to understand barriers to graduation (Opportunity for LLM-based exploration).
- WTU/Personnel Planning Evaluation: Analyze workload and teaching patterns for strategic academic planning.
- Course Modality Study: Investigate outcomes and student preferences across in-person, online and hybrid formats.
- Development of Fresno State Data Governance System: Key outcomes included the creation of a centralized data dictionary, standardized data definitions, improved data quality protocols and a collaborative governance structure that aligns with strategic institutional goals.
- Development and Implement a Cost Efficiency Model: the model supported strategic planning and budget allocation decisions, enabling Fresno State to enhance financial sustainability while maintaining or improving service delivery and academic outcomes.
Fellowship Details:
Eligibility: Open to full-time faculty across all disciplines, priority given to tenured/tenure track faculty.
Term: One year, with possible extension.
Time Commitment: Three – five hours per week.
Compensation: Stipend of $4,000 paid once deliverable is submitted.
Deliverables: Project summary/report and presentation of findings.
