Works Above and Beyond
Amanda Banks, Student, Alumni and Friends Engagement
Big high five to Amanda for being a huge team player on Day of Giving. From coordinating vendors and setting up for the campuswide kickoff breakfast to delivering lunch to the team during our Bulldog Roadshow, Amanda went above and beyond. She even stepped in to take over a roadshow visit so we could spread our engagement efforts further. Your dedication and hard work made the day a success, thank you, Amanda.
Jessica Bustos, Advising and Resource Center
Jessica Bustos, at the CSM Advising and Resource Center (ARC), is wonderful, and I am so grateful for her support and positive attitude. She exceeds my expectations every time I reach out for help (as a student or employee). Jessica truly is the best part of ARC.
April Cardiel, Division of Graduate Studies
Thank you, April, for your collaboration and leadership in the workshop "Elevate: Navigating the Graduate" on March 26. Students, and I, benefitted from hearing about your experiences in graduate school - and from your expertise with the application process.
Alexis Camarillo, Student, Alumni and Friends Engagement
Alexis works above and beyond with everything she does for the Student, Alumni and Friends Engagement team. She is always willing to help and lend a hand with any project. She created the Victern program, and it has been very successful. She is leading and empowering our students with her strong marketing and social media skills. She is a huge value to Fresno State.
Becky Martinez, Foundation Financial Services
Becky is extremely kind, helpful and positive. Travel is always complex, but Becky goes above and beyond to make sure you understand all that it encompasses and does so with time and care. Thank you for all of your help, I appreciate you.
Paul Rivas, Facilities Management
Thank you, Paul, for going above and beyond in keeping our campus grounds clean and well-maintained. Your hard work and dedication truly deserve appreciation!
Nicole Traverso, Student, Alumni and Friends Engagement
Nicole did an amazing job on planning and executing the entire Day of Giving staff/faculty breakfast. When she was assigned to plan the breakfast, it was right in the middle of planning our largest student engagement event, Grad Fest, and she did it flawlessly. The event was a huge success on kicking off the successful Day of Giving. Way to go Nicole!
Andy Vang, Career Development Center
Thank you, Andy, for your leadership and collaboration in organizing and running the Grad School Recruitment Fair. The space you helped create to support future graduate students explore what their options are was awesome.
Careen Wong, Student, Alumni and Friends Engagement
Careen is our logistical queen and the brains behind Grad Fest. Grad Fest serves thousands of students and future alumni, and Careen is successful in making it a positive experience for each student. We wouldn't be a complete team without her on the team. Thank you Careen for all that you do for the Student, Alumni and Friends Engagement team.
Gina Zante, Student, Alumni and Friends Engagement
When Gina came up with idea for a Day of Giving "Roadshow," our team quickly gathered behind her to make it happen. From the idea, planning and execution of the Roadshow, Gina put all her Bulldog passion into the event to make sure it was a success for our Day of Giving team. At each of the six companies that the SAFE team visited on Day of Giving, we not only met with our philanthropic partners, we engaged with students, alumni and friends. The Roadshow was a huge success and kudos to Gina for making it happen.
Division of Graduate Studies
Thank you to awesome staff of the Division of Graduate Studies for their work to co-host the Grad School Recruitment Fair. It was great to see students and coordinators talking about what their futures might look like and to be able to watch you all share your expertise with students, faculty and staff.
Saved My Bacon
Ofelia Gamez, College Assistance Migrant Program
Our program was on a super tight deadline and desperately needed a hand. I walked into her office, explained the situation, and without missing a beat, she said “yes” and handed me the keys — literally and figuratively. Your willingness to step in with zero hesitation speaks volumes about the kind of colleague you are: generous, supportive, and always willing to go the extra mile. Thank you for having my back (and my program’s). I truly appreciate you.
