Linda Huizar, a Fresno State employee from 1982-2017, passed away April 19, 2018 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Linda worked various jobs through her life but most notable and distinguished was her career at Fresno State. She started as a cashier, and progressed to an Accounts Payable Technician, a Supervising Cashier, and retired as a Student Accounting Technician III. She then returned as a retired annuitant and worked in the areas of Office Receptionist, Cashiering, Student Accounts, Travel Desk and Accounts Payable.

Linda was a hard worker and very dedicated. She was trusted to work numerous positions in the office and did so willingly. She took pride in her assignments and cherished her student and campus relationships.

Linda also enjoyed making her coworkers laugh. She had nicknames for many that will never be forgotten.

Linda’s genuine smile and laugh will always be remembered.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Monday April 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Clovis Cemetery.
