Dr. Maryam Nazari (Civil Engineering) recently received the Structural Engineering Institute Young Professional Scholarship at this year’s Structures Congress 2018. Scholarships are provided by the SEI Futures Fund in partnership with the (American Society of Civil Engineers) ASCE Foundation.

Congratulations to Lyles College of Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industry Faculty Fellow, Cordie Qualle, for receiving the ASCE Fresno Branch Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is presented to members who have advanced in the profession, exhibited technical competence, and significantly contributed to public service. Mr. Qualle earned his M.S. in Structural Engineering from Norwich University and B.S. in Civil Engineering from Fresno State. He was with Blair, Church and Flynn Consulting Engineers for 35-years and worked on numerous water resources planning projects, including hydrology and hydraulic modeling of watersheds and of structures and channels. We are proud to celebrate this amazing achievement in his career.
