Ryan Soares, lecturer, recreation administration, “skied” across the Sierra in only 19 hours, 50 minutes - setting a record of the fastest known time in the mountain community! The classic route, over 2,000 feet in elevation and off the heels of the worst snowpack in 70 years, typically takes five to seven days to complete.
College of Health and Human Services faculty coordinated the Interprofessional Telehealth Simulation on March 14. Over 100 physical therapy, nursing and social work students participated in the workshop, which gave them the education and skills to conduct telehealth based evaluation and discharge planning for neurological patients with interprofessional team members. Faculty included, from Physical Therapy: Nupur Hajela, Leslie Zarrinkhameh, Cheryl Hickey, Jamie Hutcherson; Nursing: Harkirat Bal and Eileen R Jimenez; Social Work Education: Candida Madrigal; and Public Health: Mohammad Rahman.
